Don't delete the club! This movie was well-loved by Final Fantasy fans, so you can bet there will always be fan-art of it! Even if there isn't a steady stream of submissions, people do still submit! Don't get discouraged, OK? ^^
Thank you for your answer. Its very kind to finally, have an answer for something. The problem isnt the stream of submisions entering the club, its the fact that when i start a contest or ask for stuff to kind of, upgrade the club, i aint getting a single answer or no participation at all. I know this movie was much loved, i love it but i dont want to entertain something for people who dont care about it. Maybe you care but against 143 people in this club, maybe it isnt enough sadly. But we'll see, thank you again
Maybe a contest isn't the way to go... maybe a community project is more in order. *shrugs*
People get lazy, I know. I've seen a lot of contests that I want to enter, but then I either forget or am uninspired, and end up not entering. I would imagine that happens to a lot of people.
I still say don't delete it. At the very least, it's a place for people to share their fan-art. A lot of clubs don't need to have contests all the time to function well. (Like my SA Singer's Club. We'll do community projects from time to time, but aside from that, I just monitor the submissions, and the club goes on.)
Community projects can be done in many ways. Some common ways are:
- Pick a theme, and members can draw based on that theme, but prizes are not awarded. (One of the main reasons that people do not enter contests is that they think right from the beginning, "There's not way I'll win." This way, they are encouraged to join, and they don't have the stress of their piece being judged to worry about. ^^)
- Make a journal with a list of characters, and assign a random one to each member that responds to the journal.
I'm sure there are more, but those are the only ones I can think of right now. Hope that helped!
I will try your second option before deleting the club. I never tried it. Thanks! But you see, you are the single person who answered this blog until now...Maybe people really dont care abt it.
I still think that people are just lazy. Whenever I make a journal in my club, I never get comments either, even if I am asking for feedback... My personal opinion is that as long as people are submitting things to the club, it's worth keeping. ^^
Sure folks are inactive when it comes to the forums or contests you organize, but I doesn't mean the submissions have all stopped as well. I'm thinking that most people here are just too lazy and probably many of them also joined just to see fanart from the movie.
You shouldn't think your club's worth nothing just because there's no feedback *hugs* besides, you never gave up. I've tried to think of new things, but I'm still fruitless. I'm hoping to make some art soon, but I don't know if I can.
Yeah you are kind of right...But it suuuuuuuucks not to receive any fuckin answers, even on a clublog were i am talking about the deletion of this club
I know, dear, but it's like submitting art and not receiving any comments. It really needs a stroke of luck, I think. Don't let it get to you too much =) I just think all others are so lazy they don't check out what's on the side or what else there is to do.
