Do you guys think posting access should just be given to everyone? the only thing is, it'd be a total spamfest. lmao.
your call as the members, I suppose. I tend to just nuke my club updates anyhow. xD;
The thing is with a club so general and large as this, there would be an incredible amount of submissions so it makes more sense to limit it.. but it's hard to control because noone has the time to sift through the submissions really...
So, post your comments/thoughts here and vote in the poll regarding this.
I often nuke my club updates if I don't want to deal with them.
But I'm more than willing to sift through to find something I might like. ^^
Ahahahaha... Well, that and I can't post right now anyway.
I suppose it just all depends on what everyone else thinks.
Well, thing is, there hasn't been a theme for us to sort through the art to know what stays and such. I, personally, don't mind cleaning it up. I've never minded moding for this club. Though, I do think the system here needs some revising. Whatever your final word on it is, I'll go with.
That's the thing though, I'm not that great of a 'final word' type person atm. xD;; This club really needs some more organized and creative admins who have a bit of spare time and wont have trouble coming up with things to keep it interesting in here. Bah, it's hard to think of a way which will work for a club this size. 2000 people wtf.
lol It really has grown around here. 2,000 people are a lot to manage.
I don't know that it would work, but maybe in concern to topics for art we could have one of the admins come up with a bunch of them and put it out for the people in the club to vote on what ones they'd like to be the theme? I don't know if a, for lack of a better word, republican-type voting system for themes would help or work, but it's an idea. lol
Hmmm...I'm not so sure about doing the posting access to all thing 'cuz there's a buttload of people in this club *fears the amount of updates she'd get * since I don't nuke mine ^^' however I think you guys should "broaden" your themes a bit. Instead of having like "Bleach" and "Summer time" as themes you should have different kinds of art like "traditional" one month and "digital" the next or something like that..it makes room for a lot more things to submit but in that case people still can't submit their entire gallery (unless they just do one type of work).
And also someone has to be on the ball on the themes as well, at least update a blog once a month (or once every two months) with a new theme (I understand you guys are busy people, but to take 5 minutes out of one day for a -month- to make a blog can't be too hard). 'Cuz its sort of ridiculous as it is now, the last time we got new themes was nearly a year ago > >''
Yeah, I understand. xD; I particularly don't have ANY time for this club since I'm in college now lol, so I kind of handed it down to other people.. who also seemed too busy to maintain it. :( I felt bad for the club is why I made this blog. lol
Plus I'm not all that great myself at coming up with themes and such, I only like very select types of anime and such. ;; Maybe that 'type of art' thing would work, but... wouldn't it still have ALOT of submissions? D:
lol yah it would of course but picking out certain types of anime's as themes is ..really selective especially for people that barely ever draw fanart (like me) or don't draw fanart at all. But if you want to go with that kinda theme then instead of picking a certain anime you could do genre's of anime (so if the genre is action people can either a) post fanart from action series or b) post action pictures [characters are in motion/action] which gives room for fanart artist and original artists to post their work :3)
Maybe instead of having the updates come up like crazy, limit each person to only a number of pictures they can put up a week? And I agree with what Kimiko chan has to say about the type of art rather than themes. It makes it a bit easier on some people.
Yeah you can kick people... I think.. o.O;; Lol. Maybe 1 pic per day limit, with the requirement of it having to be anime/manga themed and possibly we could alternate between a month being traditional, next month digital etc. ?
One pic per day sounds reasonable. If I were working on coloring all my pieces. >.>; I tend to draw a lot, slack off, then post at least half of what I have after I've finished editing it the next day.
I think the alternating kinda works, except for the fact that some people like to edit their pictures on the computer and that kinda instantly makes it digital.
Either way, I can live. I'll just make sure to update as soon as I finish if it comes down to 1 pic per day
We should have a limited trial thingy. Basically, we'll try it for around a week, and have a vote to see how people still feel about it. Now looking at other people's ideas: I also agree with the list; it will greatly limit the art posters to people who aren't just joining the club to submit somehting and then quit, and it cuts it down by a lot of people. Reduces spam, etc. People could be limited to how much they submit a week, but that sounds extremely difficult to regulate and enforce. The poll shows that a lot of people want to submit, so we should probably allow it with some kind of restriction? Just some ideas, idk.
I look through the first page of my updates when I get them, but only that. Honestly though, I think they should be open to every one. Not every one is going to have a BAJILLION submissions to turn in, in one day, and you can just as easily regulate the number of pictures submited by a person per day. And or you can have it so that you can only submit such and such artwork during such and such time, and Cycle through them so people get more than one chance.
I myself don't really do a-lot of fanart, and I even more rarely actually submit something to sheezyart.
I also agree on the traditional/digital theme. I have some of both, so that would turn out fine with me.
Also, I think it should be limited to a certain amount per day/week (I'd like by week) so that those who just draw up something in an hour have to wait to post vs. someone who draws something for 8 hours and has it spammed into disappearance by the other pictures
