I just wanted to thank everyone that's joined the club so far. I'm sorry I haven't done much with it yet, but I've been working all weekend. Hopefully, I'll do something on Monday or Tuesday. I'm not really sure what it'll be yet though. Is there anything you guys would like to see?
Also, once we get some more members, I was thinking we could have a contest of some kind. I'm going to try to make it something everyone can enter in, not just those with dolls. I've got a couple of ideas, but I'm open to suggestions.
Welcome to the club dedcicated to Asian ball-joint dolls.
What are Asian ball-joint dolls you ask?
Asian ball-joint dolls (ABJDs) were originally created in Japan by a company called Volks. The dolls are fully customizable, expressive and can get into a vairity of different poses. (These is were their ball joints come in.) They come in many sizes, from just a few inches tall to over 2 feet in height and are made of resin. (And not the kind that breaks easy when you drop it. These dolls are very durable.) There are many companies that produce their own models of these types dolls now besides Volks, many of which are in Korea.
I'll be posting links to different companies and to sites with more information once I get things together here.
Want to join? You don't have to own a doll to join, but you should at least be a fan! Once you join, feel free to submit any ABJD related art.
