Black Ops is a science fiction milieu based on games like Deus Ex and Max Payne, and films like The Bourne Identity trilogy and the Matrix trilogy. Characters are augmented, either artificially or through intense training or freakish ability. Conspiracy should always be a main theme, computers and AI should be involved to some degree, cybernetics, some (light) cyberpunk, etc, but the environment must be present day or at most, like, ten years in the future.
Vastly advanced technology is welcomed in stories, on the understanding that it is not available to the general public or military, only to experimental weapons research or private researchers, extremist groups or mad scientists.
