OK, so here's the official battle plan.
-Make chiptunes I DON'T CARE IF YOU'VE NEVER MADE ONE BEFORE JUST DOWNLOAD FAMITRACKER AND FART SOMETHING OUT.
-Spam the other music clubs with said chiptunes.
If we stick to this brilliant strategy, we should have over 500 members a week from now.
A chiptune, as opposed to a regular tune, can be defined as follows:
-Anything utilizing any sort of sound synthesis in place of samples (with exceptions)
-A heavy emphasis on composition as opposed to lyrics or playing style
-Anything that sounds like old video game music
But chipmusic is not a set of rules, it's a sound, and must be heard to be fully understood. Love those oldschool 8-bit NES or GameBoy sounds? Join the club!
Only one rule: If it can't be considered a chiptune, don't submit it. Video game remixes are not always chiptunes. :(
