For those who do not know the anime "Nightwalker," here is a summary:

The show is about vampires. The main characters name is shido, who is a vampire dating back to the 1700's. He was turned by the vampire named Cain.

Shido has two companions ( Yayoi and Riho ) in the middle of the series Shido turns Riho into a vampire to save her dieing life.
We learn that before the series Shido was a wealthy noble(at least it implys as such) who had a beautiful mother(?) anda younger sister(?). When Cain turned him (ironicly in a church) his blood lust was so great that he killed his mother, when he came out of the bloodlust,his sister was still alive, however, she had witnessed her brother kill the whole town, and ran away from him.
