This club was founded to celebrate one of the world's wittiest of dark minds - Voltaire.

Voltaire has been in the entertainment business for 20 years. (His first break being a stop-motion animation series for MTV known as 'MTVBosch'. He also contributed his talent in one scene of 'Joe's Apartment' in which a man's apartment is plagued by roaches.) He continues in 'the biz' by writing music! Songs which are heavily influenced by old European folk music. Often using gypsy violins and other such orchestral musical instruments - along with his acoustic guitar which makes his music generally quite unique. His lyrics are usually deeply sarcastic covering all manner of subject matter from love, loss of love, and hypocrisy. (With the occasional flat-out humorous songs such as those found on Banned on Vulcan).

He does not limit himself, however, to music or animation, he also draws and writes his own comic books and informative books! Oh My Goth! (where this club gets its name) is one of such comics: featuring a caricature of Voltaire himself called 'Hieronymous Posch' (a play on Hieronymous Bosch, who also influences Voltaire's style).

From his excellent animation, to his wonderful melodies, and all the way to his well written books Voltaire proves again and again to be what I like to call a 'Renaissance Goth'.
