In a recent poll of some 4,000 people, the title song from Friends topped the list of 'most memorable TV theme tune'... but Red Dwarf's own theme, composed by Howard Goodall, placed at a very respectable ninth - easily beating Eastenders, Casualty and Neighbours and even scraping ahead of Coronation Street at number 10.
Chart positions two to eight were: Only Fools and Horses, The A Team, The Monkees, Grange Hill, Match of the Day, Star Trek and The Pink Panther. The results were collated by David Omrerod Hearing Centres.
