Alrighty peeps, since we only had 3 entries, there was no need to vote. I am however very disappointed in the turnout. I had really thought this was something the community wanted and was behind. We do plan to keep doing the contests and are considering what the next contest will be. We are thinking along the lines of a music contest. Hopefully the turnout will be better.

I don't think we ever said that cast couldn't. And really I don't see where it would be an issue as all users are allowed to vote for the semi finalists.
Well the entire idea was brought about based on an overrides contest due to users wanting Sheezy's layout to change for seasons not just the eat babies thing for halloween.
I'm afraid that, while I wanted to enter, I just had no time to stop and learn all this override stuff. It's not something I'm familiar with, unfortunately.
And yeah, I think the reason not a lot of people entered is because it was a pretty specific contest. Overrides aren't my thing at all, and I know a lot of people are like me on that. So that may be a reason behind the poor showing.
I really really really don't know how to do overrides at all and you can tell just by looking at my page :(
I think I remember commenting about this before, I think when you have contests for other things I can probably enter, and even if it is something I don't show a particular specialty in-like jewelery or even writing. So yeah, get past the layout and overrides contests and you might see more stuff >_>
