Battle and Evolution
  Posted by Dipswitch
Battle is fairly easy, just as long as you keep track of the types of monsters fighting. Make sure yours is good against the opponent. If he/she is not, then you better call some monsters that are. Once you have some friends in your phone, you can call them in battle.

Making An In-Battle Call
At the start of a battle, the game will let you call one or two friends to help you. You don't have to, but it's usually helpful. Call ones that live in an area near the one you're currently in, otherwise they'll get lost and take forever to get there. This means you'll have to remember where each one came from.

Battling and Strategy
The game automatically switches between all your monsters for you. All you need to do is pick their attacks. Sometimes they attack all on their own. If your monster has a disadvantage to the one you're attacking, it's power will keep getting worse and worse each time it attacks. But if it's good against the opponent, it's power will increase with each attack.

Evolution
The best type of evolution is leveling up, which is like Pokemon evolution. When a monster gets to a certain level, he/she can evolve and this makes for good stats. You can speed up this process using a Reform Evolution, which means going to a store in the game and taking the monster currently following you to the Reform Evolution counter (on the left side inside the store). You need to give the monster his/her favorite item and this will give him/her experience to help with leveling up.
When a monster levels up or evolves, he/she can learn new moves, but you don't get to choose which ones. The new moves replace the old ones. For example, if you have the attack called Bite, at a certain point it'll be replaced with Overbear, which does the same thing but is a more powerful version of the Bite attack. The Claw attack will get replaced with Crusader, and so on. The monster can also have defensive attacks, sometimes a healing attack that restores health, and every monster learns a special and powerful move that needs to be powered up first. It takes a while but it's usually worth it.
Test Evolution is much different than Reform Evolution and leveling up, and it can be confusing. Certain monsters evolve when they're given the DNA of another. The three DNA groups are Baolan, Gulap, and Jigay. Monsters in each of these groups are ones that have evolved through leveling up. If you get a P-Card and show it to a monster in one of these groups, you can extract its DNA. Then give the DNA to the monster you want to do a Test Evolution on. Do this inside a store where Test Evolutions can be done (again on the left side). Confusing? Well just try it out. Here are the monsters you can extract DNA from.
