Well, I hope it will anyway, as club activity here is frankly extremely low considering the amount of members we have. I do apologise though for leaving this club inactive for 2-3 months, university kept me out of the loop as it were.
With such inactivity, I do hope I can get some ideas or changes that you the members would like that would make this club more better. The purpose of this club is void if you don't participate. Ideas could be a change of art submissions to our gallery or types of activities for our members.
Speaking of, the United Theme Challenge of April was never concluded. To which, here's a new one for those interested. The word of the month is: "Revival".
Also, don't forget that every second week of each month, you choose 5 artists from your watch list to promote in your journal you feel should be more known.
I hope you can help to keep this club serve the purpose of promoting the unknown artists of sheezyart.
i did two lists of ten when the club first launched, but i'll admit, on that second list, i was really reaching for people. at that point, i'd used up my 10 favorites the first week, and everyone else had too many watchers to qualify.
i mean, i know plenty of people that have over 100 watchers but have never hit FP. it's starting to take more and more just to get noticed. all the deviantart refugees are coming here in hopes of glory, and it's kind of ball-tastic for people that have been around a little longer. we don't need two deviantarts.
Well the original purpose of it was so you only feature those who never got to front page yet had talent. It was like a minature moderator feature. However it depended solely on people making a list on their journal and such.
I'm thinking of perhaps getting members to submit artists and one piece of their art they think deserves more attention. It's more central and everyone can see it.
that would be great! in addition to the featuring artists in general, to feature one piece by a favorite artist, and actually give real thought and attention as to why, and to write up something spiffy about it.
well, they'll get the update in their clubs, and when they see friends posting features, they'll hop on the bandwagon. i only found out about the club because one of my watchers featured me. man, that made me cry ;___;
I like this months challenge. So I'm going to do it.
As for features.. wow, totally forgot.
As for ideas.. you can do a "An artwork a day for 30 days" challenge. It's pretty self explanatory. Idea came from a dA trend. Except the one on dA is a cg challenge. It'll help (hopefully) artists improve their skills since they'll be drawing every day, literally. And hopefully, they'll get a sense of what it'll feel like to major in anything art-related.
Well.. you can always have it run for a week or two instead of a whole month.. xD
Should do secret santa again.. It's probably because we're also getting art... There should be a random group art trade like secret santa.. except not..
True, shame though that 2 people didn't draw anything and actually just seemed to have disappeared. Not that there's anything I can do about it though.
But yeh, will have to refine those ideas...if I can stop playing Mass Effect and GRID.
