Hello all! Happy new year!
I have to admit I haven't checked up on the WEBCOMIC CLUB in a long while. A bad thing considering I'm the creator!
Anyway, since it's the new year it's time to turn over a new leaf. I'm going to spend a little more time on this group and perhaps vamp it up with some new things.
Like what I don't know. Perhaps a featured comic on the front page every now and then, or competitions! Do you want competitions?
I honestly don't know, I just wanna run a good club and keep it's members (Especially you! ) happy!
So, if you have a suggestion for something, a complaint, opinion, or even if you just want things to stay as they are, please let me know. I'm happy so long as I get some feedback.
To be honest I haven't thought about competitions. It was more of an example of the sort of thing that we could do. I suppose the obvious competitions would be to design characters or strips based on a single joke or theme.
I did think of holding something like a guest strip exchange week. It would work the the webcomic secret santa, except maybe not so secret.
I don't know how many people visit the club or how often, but if the numbers were right perhaps a weekly (or monthly if thats better) strip on the main page would be a possibility. Members could sign up to take part and there would be a rota so everyone gets a go. The content of the strips would be unique to the club, perhaps with its own characters (Hey, choosing the characters could be a competition!) rather than using characters from the members own webcomics.
I don't know. It all depends on how many people want to do what.
