Hello, Genin.

I bring you more news from the world of Naruto. Let's see what's going on this time

In American, Naruto Vol.12 was recently released. It's part 3 of the Chunnin exam. First round is Naruto vs. Neji. Who will win? Genius or Failure? Shadow Clone vs. Byakugan.

Also, last week's episode of Naruto was a bit of a filler. if you missed it, don't worry. Just minor things occur. Be sure to watch this next episode to see the fruit's of Naruto's training.

In Japan, the manga has been hectic as ever. I really can't say anything without spoiling things for those who don't read it. I'll just say, the akatsuki are full of surprises.

The anime has moved from it's normal wednesday night slot to a thursday night. Also, rumors are spreading that fillers will end soon, we all hope.

Lastly, Naruto has won an award for promoting reading and such. I grabbed this from Narutofan.com:
The Quills Award is an initiative launched with the combined support of Reed Business Information and NBC, and is designed to act as an industry qualified "consumers choice" program to honor excellence in writing and publishing, recognizing the creators of great literature, and promoting reading and literacy initiatives. The Quill Awards celebrates the best books of the year in nineteen popular categories, ranging from romance to biography to graphic novels. The winners were announced at the Quill Awards Ceremony in New York City. Awhile back we announced that Naruto was up for one of these awards, and today we are happy to announce that Naruto Volume 7 published by VIZ Media has become the very first manga to win one of these prestigious awards.

"We are extremely pleased to have been honored with the 2006 Quill Award in the Graphic Novel category for NARUTO," states Hidemi Fukuhara, CEO, VIZ Media. "The Quill Award is very special to us as it is a consumer voted award and reflects fan favorites as well as buying trends and also serves as an accolade for the manga genre as a whole and NARUTO specifically."

Now, I've got a c-rank mission to attend, Shannaro.
